VHPA is the oldest and one of the largest Hindu organizations in the US. Our foundational principles are :-
01. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam :- Entire universe is one family. 02. Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah :- May all be happy. 03. Ekam Sat, Viprah Bhudha Vadanti :- Truth is one; Sages speak of it variously.

World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) is the first, foremost, and largest Hindu organization in the America, dedicated to preserving and promoting Hindu values. VHPA’s diverse activities include Balvihars (children’s Sunday school), Support-A-Child, Seva programs in America, American Hindus Against Defamation, the Hindu Mandir Executives’ Conference, and much more, all aimed at strengthening the Hindu community and fostering a positive impact on society.
VHPA is a volunteer organization. While our members receive Hindu Vishwa magazine and a beautiful calendar, we suggest that you join VHPA not for material gains but to make a difference in society. We unite Hindus. We protect dharma. We promote samskars through Bal Vihars and youth camps; we serve the community. We advocate for American Hindus. We educate all Americans about the virtues of Hindu dharma and engage in interfaith activities.
Join VHPA because you are a Hindu who thinks that Hindus make the world a better place. You want the Hindu dharma to survive and sustain in the US and enrich American life. Join if you want your children to learn about the dharma and dharmic way of life and not be bullied in their schools.
Join us because you want to answer the call by Swami Vivekananda, who said, “Get up, and set your shoulder to the wheel – How long is this life for? As you have come into this world, leave some mark behind. Otherwise, where is the difference between you and the trees and stones?”
